Denise Boelens, PhD

Licensed as a clinical psychologist in both Utah and New York, Denise received her doctorate from the University of Washington in 1980. Her early professional experience includes several years at the VA Medical Center as a psychologist and administrator in both inpatient and outpatient substance abuse programs. She also served as Director of Psychology Training and currently provides supervision to mental health professionals.
Denise has been in private practice for over 35 years and uses a range of therapy techniques. Since joining the Center in 1994, she has integrated her training as a therapist and facilitator in Jungian Social Group Work with cognitive behavioral therapy techniques, meditation and guided imagery techniques. Technologies for Creating, and somatic embodiment and regulation strategies. She works primarily with adults seeking individual therapy, and has a special interest in the mind/body/spirit connection.
