Heidi Gordon, MS, LCSW

Heidi Ford Gordon has been a full partner at the Center for Transpersonal Therapy since 2008.  She received her master’s degree in Kinesiology from California State University, Fullerton in 1998 and her master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Utah in 2002.  Heidi’s original clinical interest focused on movement psychology, performance anxiety, health and well-being.   Her graduate research focused on communication between head collegiate male coaches and female athletes. 

In 1998, Heidi’s clinical focus widened into mental health, social work and social process.  Heidi has over 20 years of experience working with mental health populations. She is trained as a psychotherapist and has 18 years of training and facilitation in Jungian Social Group Work process. She specializes in using psychotherapy to treat mood disorders, anxiety issues, and addictions.  Additionally, because of her training in both kinesiology and social work, she works across domains in treating performance issues for athletes. She enjoys working with adolescents, men, women and couples. 

Since joining the Center, Heidi has developed a Women’s Jungian Social Support Group and she has facilitated several workshops on both body image/identities and the patriarchal wound in women.  She has a professional interest in strengthening communication between the sexes.
