Sherry Lynn Zemlick, PhD

A Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Founder of the Center for Transpersonal Therapy, Sherry received her Ph.D. from the California School of Professional Psychology-San Diego in 1977 and has been in practice for more than 47 years. Working with individuals, couples and groups she helps clients create healthy lifestyles, self-acceptance and enriching relationships.

Dr. Zemlick was an active member of “Healing the Great Divide,” a community dialogue group promoting acceptance of diversity and healing the divides within the community and ourselves.

Her primary theoretical perspective is derived from Process Oriented Psychology which views symptoms and disturbances in our lives as a process vs. a state and thus provides a path toward wholeness and a focus on health and wellbeing.

Dr. Zemlick has a special interest in the bridge between psychology and spirituality and the connection between body, mind and spirit. She therefore promotes and sponsors periodic meditation retreats for members of the community.

Drawn to the Wise Woman Archetype (The Crone) and her years of involvement with women’s groups. Dr. Zemlick has an interest in women’s health, successful aging and the important contributions elder women can offer to our society. This includes the wisdom of caring compassion, love, unity and wholeness that honors all of life. Throughout her career she has enjoyed co-creating numerous women’s workshops and retreats.
